Since I have started writing this blog, I have received questions about the nature of the blog and the reason for its creation. So, I have decided to write this short article to explain the purpose of the blog as well as my future plans for the project. Nothing written here is set in stone, but more of an idea of what I would like Infinity Aerospace to become, and what I think that it eventually can be. So, starting from the beginning, I will explain the blog.
I have always been fascinated by aerospace and almost everything that flies. Birds, Jets, and Rockets all amaze me. So, it is clear that I am an aviation fan, which is one of the reasons I started this blog. It simply allows me to talk about aviation with readers who may share the same passion. I also hope that through this blog I am able to educate some of those who read this blog about aviation and all that there is to know!
The next reason for the blog’s creation is a little more complex though. Let me break this down in the most simple way I can. I plan to go into the aerospace industry when I complete college, but I still have some uncertainty about some things. As someone who is younger, I often worry about the consequences of climate change and its ever growing danger. Since I am often thinking about aerospace, I have come to the simple conclusion that, much like how cars are going electric, jets must go electric too. There is no time to waste and no error to be made.
However, there is a big problem which is the fact that no large airplane or engine builders seem to be working on electric aviation. There are some small side projects, such as there was in the auto industry before Tesla, but nothing that will truly make any kind of difference. So, what does all this have to do with Infinity Aerospace? Well, I hope to turn Infinity Aerospace into the largest electric airplane manufacturer on the market.
Now, You may immediately think that these are lofty goals and yes, they are. But let me run through the ultimate plan here and it may make more sense. Of the electric airplane start-ups I have read about, most of them have failed due to money issues. Now, there are a few ways to go about getting funding in this industry but the most common way is to simply try to find investors. This becomes difficult though because aerospace projects are not like software projects or other products. Planes costs millions of dollars just to build and million more to develop and test. It is hard to find an investor that is willing to risk that much money.
So instead, I have decided to start Infinity Aerospace by first finding other sources of income to fund the project. I currently run two websites, Infinity Aerospace and 1969 Inc, and I am looking to expand to more to pull in more profits. I am a college student with little to no debt and almost zero dollars in living expenses. This means that I can turn around and use all the combined profit I make from the websites to create the first real Infinity Aerospace products.
Product-wise, the plan is simple. I plan to create an electric jet turbine that can be used for large drones and small business aircraft. Hopefully the cheap price and easy usability will be able to help them sell. Then, from there, I will use the revenue from the smaller electric turbofans to develop larger electric turbofans for the commercial business and the military. Finally, using the profits from both of the electric turbofans, we start the development of the perfect electric aircraft.
I also hope to expand more into electric drones and UAVs that can serve many purposes. The whole point of Infinity Aerospace is to help push the aviation industry into a new age. We desperatly need a zero-emission aerospace industry and we need it now. The aerospace industry account for a visible percentage of global emissions and number keeps going up. Jets keep getting bigger and airplane producers keep selling more of them. To add to this, airlines do not seem to be taking any care for the environmental impact of their actions either.
With any luck, Infinity Aerospace can achieve its goal. Development of the first Infinity Aerospace propulsion systems and drones will be starting soon.
