Pilatus is a small aviation company that has made quite a name for itself in the past few years with their new Pilatus PC-24 jet. In the early 2000s, they made an airplane called the PC-12. A propeller airplane with low operating costs, a comfortable interior, and easy to use controls. This was quite a popular plane because of these traits but over time the aircraft became aged and their customers wanted something new.
This is when Pilatus created the PC-24, a jet that coined the term ‘super versatile’. The PC-24 is a small private jet that is capable of quite a few different activities. If you want to travel luxuriously in private with friends and family, this plane can do it just like any other. You can luxuriously travel in this aircraft with ease. However, the seats can also be taken out to make it a cargo plane. On top of that, the plane can land on any runway with almost no exceptions. And I means none!
The video shown above is a video of a Pilatus PC-24 landing on a grass runway. I will say, the first time I watched this it looked a bit strange because you never really see jet aircraft landing on grass runways. However, Pilatus was able to do it! They created a spectacular aircraft that pushes the boundaries of what a small jet can do.
This jet created it own class of small jets and instantly become a best seller. In fact, Pilatus sold more than 50 of these only 36 hours after they were released. They are extremely high quality aircraft with low maintenance costs and that is what people want! To add to that, their versatility opens up a whole range of new opportunities for owners! You can now fly to places and land in places that you previously would have never been able to take a jet! Pilatus really has made a fantastic product here! I hope to one day be able to fly in a Pilatus PC-24.
